Hatırla İslam gathers the tools you reach for every day into a single app: prayer times, a Qur'an reader, a digital tasbih, a qibla compass, daily du'as, the 99 Names of Allah, a step-by-step salah guide and khatm tracking.
The aim is simple: that anyone who wants to practise their faith has a reliable, uncluttered and easy-to-use companion within reach. The app is free on both iOS and Android.
Hatırla İslam did not start as a "project idea". It grew out of a real, everyday need.
Using other apps to keep track of prayer times, one thing became clear over time: the most practical features — the lock-screen widget and Live Activity / Dynamic Island — were almost always placed behind a paid subscription. Yet seeing the next prayer at a glance, without unlocking the phone, is not a luxury; it is the whole point of such an app.
Having spent years building user interfaces, that was hard to accept. A tool whose job is to remind you of worship should not put a paywall in front of you. So in Hatırla İslam, the lock-screen widget and Live Activity — features many apps charge for — are free for everyone.
The same approach runs through the whole app: prayer times, the Qur'an, the dhikr counter, the qibla compass, du'as, the 99 Names and khatm tracking are all free. For anyone who would rather not see the non-personalised ads that keep the app running, there is a one-off, optional "Remove Ads" purchase — it exists to remove ads, never to lock a feature away.
Hatırla İslam is designed and developed by Ziya Yıldırım. The app is the work of one person from end to end; as an independent developer based in Istanbul, they own every design, code and content decision in it.
Professionally, Ziya is a Front-End Team Lead with over seven years of front-end development experience, owning the front-end architecture of large-scale, high-traffic e-commerce platforms end to end. Their expertise runs deep in React, Next.js and the modern JavaScript (ES6+) ecosystem; working with component-driven development, design systems and responsive, mobile-first practices, they have delivered live projects for more than 30 global brands.
Within Agile / Scrum, Ziya leads a 12-person engineering team — running sprint planning, release management, code review and mentoring while staying hands-on with the code, technical-debt management and architectural decisions.
That technical grounding is what sits behind Hatırla İslam being fast, stable and straightforward to use.

No, they are free. In many prayer apps the most practical features — the lock-screen widget and Live Activity / Dynamic Island — sit behind a paid subscription. Hatırla İslam deliberately gives them to everyone at no cost, with no extra payment or sign-up after installing.
Prayer times are calculated using the method of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı). The Qur'an text, translation, du'as and the 99 Names are compiled from Diyanet publications and classical Sunni sources (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Sunan Abu Dawud). The Hanafi school, which is the most widespread in Türkiye, is taken as the basis.
Hatırla İslam runs on iOS 16 and later (iPhone) and Android 10 and later. Apple Watch, the lock-screen widget, Dynamic Island and Live Activity are supported on iOS; Android has a home-screen widget.
No. Your location is processed only on your device, to calculate prayer times and determine the qibla direction. It is never sent to a server and never used for advertising or tracking. There is no behavioural profiling and no cross-device tracking. See the privacy policy for details.
